What FLCA Is Doing About This
We are engaging in a focused initiative on the role of artificial intelligence in education, collaborating with more than 15 partner organizations to launch a series of educational symposiums. In parallel, we are actively reaching out to legislators to engage on current and proposed bills related to AI in schools.
FLCA’s objectives are to:
1. Educate and inspire parents, grandparents, and faith-based communities to be attentive, informed, and actively engaged in discussions surrounding AI in education.
2. Help establish clear policy guardrails in Florida by working with legislators and the Governor to:
*Require explicit parental opt-in for student use of AI technologies
*Strengthen parental rights and controls over student data collection
*Require any Florida school district contracting with an AI provider to ensure alignment with a proven Western civilization, biblical worldview
