Lee County Passes Resolution Against Amendment 4

by | Sep 5, 2024

This past Tuesday, September 3rd, the Lee County Board of County Commissioners passed an Amendment 4 resolution against Amendment 4. The vote was 4-1 with Commissioners Ruane, Pendergrass, Hamman, and Greenwell voting for it.

Amendment 4 is a deceiving and extreme amendment that would enshrine abortion access up until the point of birth in the Florida Constitution. This amendment would remove parental consent for a minor to receive an abortion and would allow abortions past the time when a baby feels pain

This Amendment will be on the ballot this November and we encourage you to visit this link to learn more from our partner: https://flcaction.org/

Again, we thank the Lee County Commissioners for taking a stand.
