Naples microschool celebrates successful first year, as enrollment begins for fall of 2025

NAPLES, Fla. — Florida Citizens Alliance (FLCA) is proud to recognize Veritas Study Lounge, a Christ-centered micro-school in Naples serving homeschool students in grades 6-12 after successfully completing their first year.

Through FLCA’s dedicated mentorship and resources, Veritas Study Lounge has emerged as a vital educational hub, offering classical Christian education and personalized support for families in Collier County.

Veritas Study Lounge, founded in March 2024, currently supports 55 middle and high school students with academic classes, study halls and enrichment programs rooted in Christian values. Located off Davis Boulevard and Heritage Trail, the micro-school operates Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the school year, with plans to expand to Fridays in the upcoming term. Summer enrichment programs are also provided.

“Florida Citizens Alliance is thrilled to see Veritas Study Lounge thrive as a beacon of faith-based, student-centered education,” said Christy DeVigili, Program Director of FLCA. “Our mission is to empower families and educators, and Veritas Study Lounge’s success exemplifies the impact of our support for micro-schools across Florida.”

“Florida Citizens Alliance has been a vital resource and partner of Veritas Study Lounge,” said Deborah Paul, founder of Veritas Study Lounge. “FLCA’s support was invaluable in helping us prepare for the launch of Veritas Study Lounge, ensuring we had the resources needed to succeed. It is a joy to be one of the many successful schools to launch this school year, through their program.”

FLCA played a pivotal role in Veritas’s launch by providing hands-on mentorship, including assistance with curriculum and weekly guidance to ensure a seamless launch. To date, FLCA has helped more than 10 micro-schools launch and has impacted more than 500 students through its microschool initiative.

Veritas Study Lounge addresses critical needs in Collier County, where families seek alternatives to public schools facing challenges like overcrowded classrooms, inconsistent educational quality, and limited options for special needs students. By offering a classical education model, Veritas emphasizes critical thinking, logic, and Christian principles, fostering academic excellence and character development. Enrichment programs, including visual arts and planned music and drama offerings, complement the curriculum, while community events encourage physical activity and teamwork. Veritas Study Lounge is actively accepting new students for the upcoming school year. While the school is not currently capped at admissions, class sizes are limited to approximately 12 students to ensure a personalized and focused learning environment.

Due to growing interest from families in Collier County, particularly those seeking a faith-centered, homeschool-supportive model, Veritas encourages early applications to secure placement. Openings remain available, but spots may fill quickly, especially for high-demand courses.

Families are encouraged to reach out soon to learn more or begin the enrollment process.

FLCA invites churches, Christian educators and families inspired by Veritas Study Lounge’s success to explore starting their own micro-schools. Through personalized mentorship, FLCA equips communities to create tailored, faith-based educational solutions. Visit floridacitizensalliance.com for more information.
