FLCA joins 16 other organizations in demanding Florida protect students’ mental health by closing a loophole in Florida Statutes that allows explicit materials in schools.
We recognize, acknowledge, and are thankful for the steps that Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature have taken to address this, but in many public school districts, the situation has stayed the same or gotten worse.
The 17 signed organizations that collectively represent hundreds of thousands of Floridians believe the only way to protect children from these materials that harm their mental health, and to uphold the 1st amendment, is by creating and adding additional needed language to F.S. 847.001.
